It has been a while since my last visit to Hong Kong, and I was staying at W Hong Kong this time. Elements is my place to be for this trip, my best friend came visit me at the hotel and we went on our girlie shopping haul to hunt for her summer shoes.
Mango Tree is located in the METAL ring area of the mall surrounded by the luxe. The restaurant is fairly spacious and overlooking East Kowloon area and across the harbor. The contemporary interior design has this big big mango tree with it’s branches extended out to the ceiling.
we started off with the waitress recommendation – Lychee Smash (HKD $70) without sugar. We still found it to be little too sweet, this drink had a Ginger Ale base with crushed lychee, lime and mint leave, very refreshing for a summer drink.
We also ordered Tiger Prawn Pomelo Salad (HKD $138) the pomelo was mixed with roast peanuts and the spicy lime sauce. oops no picture of it, guessed we were too hungry or too busy taking pictures of ourselves.
The Tom Yum Goong Seafood (HKD $168) was cooked nicely with various seafood and river prawns. Their attended staff helped us with the soup too, and came back to refill it after we finished our bowl.
The fish cake (HKD $98) went particular well with the chilli and cucumber sauce very refreshing. Lastly, we ended with the Green Curry with Tiger prawns (HKD $180) once again just like what it tasted like in Bangkok.
A great dinner, a good chat with my dear friend and a nice view of Hong Kong, this meal was definitely value for the money.
